Adjacent Cool Colors

Shirt: JCrew (similar Here)  | Sweater: Banana Republic  | Pants: Banana Republic

The gloomy rainy weather was begging me to pull out a bright lime shirt and teal sweater. I appreciate a good Fall wardrobe, but that doesn't mean all the colors need to be muted and drab. There is always a place in my closet for a range of colors, prints and textures. This variety gives me more options when it comes to changing my daily look. Finding a new use for a piece already in your collection creates a very functional closet. See these pants styled Here while mixing prints. (Tip: Make sure about an inch and a half to two inches of your cuff is showing from beneath your sweater sleeve.)

JCrew Factory is offering 50% off EVERYTHING in stores and online! This sale ends October 14. Don't miss great sales like these.

Current Cravings

Shirt: ASOS  | Tie: ASOS  | Sweater: H&M  | Belt: ASOS  | Shoes: ASOS

The majority of this weeks current cravings come from ASOS. Have you heard of this awesome clothing website? Much like H&M, ASOS has great pieces at even better prices. This two toned shirt and mahogany brogues are amazing and so affordable. ASOS offers free worldwide shipping and free returns. And if you are anything like me, then you hate paying shipping costs. Another cool feature on ASOS is their Marketplace where you can buy & sell new, pre-owned, and vintage clothing. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm interested to know if any readers have used it. Their selection is massive so there is no way to go wrong shopping at ASOS.

Cable Knit Sweater

Shirt: Old (Similar Here)  | Tie: Merona  | Sweater: Banana Republic (similar Here) | Pants: Banana Republic  | Shoes: Giorgio Brutini (seen Here)

Where I live, the season of Fall has spectacular colors ranging from green to gold to rust. This is always inspiring to my wardrobe color choices shown by this forest green colored sweater. As seen in my currently cravings post I have been on the hunt for a cable knit sweater. I found one on sale at Banana Republic for the amazing price of $9.95! As a young professional I definitely look for sales, especially end of season sales. I was basically stealing it from the store at that price. This sweater is a classic cut and style which means it will stay in my closet for years to come. This versatile sweater means I can wear it alone with jeans on the weekends as well as layer it under a coat when it gets colder.

When Skies Are Grey

Shirt: JCrew  | Tie: Tommy Hilfiger (similar Here)  | Sweater: H&M  | Pants: JCrew (seen Here)  | Shoes: Madden  | Sunglasses: ASOS

Hope you are having a happy Monday. It's been gloomy around here giving me the itch to incorporate blues and greys into daily outfits. I am a fan of this sweater cardigan from H&M because it is basically a knit blazer. This casual fabric in a professional cut make it perfect for a business casual workplace. It is also very comfortable and warm. I have been loving these Slim Bedford pants from JCrew. They are the perfect slim fit, but they are more like a chino pant so they are very comfortable. The key to dressing well is fashion + comfort. Comfort has a lot to do with fit. If clothing fits you correctly then there is no reason why you cannot be comfortable. (Tip: You can pair brown shoes with blue, grey and of course, brown.)
