CUT IT OUT vinyl wall sticker **GIVEAWAY**

After a short holiday hiatus from blogging I am back to bring you a GIVEAWAY! I have partnered with CUT IT OUT to bring you this product giveaway. Is your home as bare as mine? I have nothing on the walls and there is not enough time in my day to figure out how to personalize my place. Below I have shown you how I used my vinyl wall sticker to make my home look infinitely better and it was the simplest change.

This is a picture of my entryway. There is a small table for mail and a hook for keys. This is basically all I have to welcome myself and guests when they enter my home. It is very boring and bland. There is nothing interesting about this area.

As young professionals we need something easy easy easy to decorate our homes! Easy to put up, stylish and easy to keep clean. There is nothing more perfect than these vinyl wall stickers. Have you ever seen or used them? I applied mine in less than 5 minutes and it adds a great welcome for all my guests. I feel like it makes a big difference to my small entry and leaves no damage to my wall.

CUT IT OUT is composed of a team of budding graphic designer based out of the UK. They ship WORLDWIDE with fast delivery times. The vinyl wall stickers come in a wide range of colors and designs. The stickers are easy to apply and look as though they are painted directly on the wall. This video shows you how easy it is to apply your vinyl wall sticker.

Do you want to win a FREE vinyl wall sticker? Enter by using the rafflecopter below. 4 Ways to Avoid Unwanted Weight Around The Holidays

Shirt: Geoffrey Beene   | Tie: (Similar Here and Here) | Sweater: Claiborne (similar Here, Here & Here)  | Pant: Banana Republic

With holiday parties in full swing it's easy to get caught up in the gluttony of it all. Make sure you don't put on the extra pounds with these 4 helpful tips. I also just so happened to win Best Dressed award this year at the Christmas party.

#1. Order On The Side- This includes salad dressing, condiments, butter, sauce, gravy, whipped cream. Basically anything that is jam packed with calories should be ordered on the side. This will allow you to manage your serving size and calorie intake.

#2. Drink Water Before Any Meal- Not only will this keep your appetite suppressed, but it will ensure you don't over indulge on all of those company paid meals. There is nothing more inappropriate than someone who cannot stop from gorging on that prime rib a young professional normally cannot afford to buy themselves.

#3. Remember Your Manners- Don't get sloppy just because you are out of the workplace. You are still at a work function and professional etiquette applies. This includes dining etiquette, minimizing the drinks and keeping conversations to appropriate subjects. When you keep this etiquette you end up eating slower and in turn will eat less calories in a night. Do NOT speak with food in your mouth.

#4. Keep up your exercise routine- If you already have an exercise routine, stick to it! We tend to lax around this time of year. (And then of course the beginning of the year brings New Years Resolutions of health and exercise.) Try to be realistic. If you didn't exercise one day, don't beat yourself up, just make sure to keep your schedule the next day.  Even a few push ups or sit ups right before bed counts.

I Lilac Nothing

Sweater: H&M (seen Here) | Tie: Ralph Lauren (similar Here, Here & Here) | Shirt: Perry Ellis (seen Here) | Pant: H&M

With nearly a week left until Christmas it is scramble time to pull all of those last minute gifts that you didn't have time/didn't have the money to buy yet. I have a few loose ends to tie up and then I am totally ready. What are you wearing to your holiday work parties? Will it be at a restaurant, at the office or at a coworker's residence? I am desperately looking for the less expensive version of THIS or THIS cardigan for all of my work get-togethers. These cardigans are preppy and appropriate for work parties and are not too obviously obnoxious for the holiday. One day we will all be able to afford these luxurious cashmere cardigans without giving their purchase a second thought.

The Dark Side

Shirt: Merona (similar Here & Here)  | Sweater: similar Here and Here  | Tie: Michael Kors (similar Here & Here)  | Sunglasses: ASOS

Because of all the snow and cloudy days, it only felt appropriate to wear dark colors on a day like today. I've noticed in my daily outfits that I tend to gravitate less towards all dark colors, so I decided to switch it up and pair this charcoal grey striped shirt with a tie in the same color and then ground the look with a dark cardigan. I try to challenge myself by switching up the pairings of all the pieces in my closet. This makes my wardrobe last longer and gives my outfits constant versatility. (Don't mind the fuzz, it shows up worse in photographs than it really was).

Gearing Up For A Giveaway

Shirt: Tommy Hilfiger (similar Here & Here)   | Tie: Calvin Klein  | Pant: JCrew  | Belt: Kenneth Cole

Last week we got snow on snow on snow for 5 days straight. There were cars stuck off the road and slipping around the streets. Today has been nicer, but why does it always seem as though the weekends go by way too fast?? We are back to Monday and it is going to be a long one. At least I can look good while paying the heating bill.

Today's outfit is a comfortable slim fit Tommy Hilfiger shirt (seen here) and Calvin Klein tie (seen here). I have been attracted to Tommy Hilfiger's designs a lot lately. They are all classic, well fitting and fashionable. Do you have a particular designer or brand you are attracted to?

There will be a great giveaway coming soon. Stay tuned for details on how to enter.

My Sweater Shrunk & Now It Fits Better

Shirt: JCrew  | Sweater: Banana Republic  | Tie: Banana Republic | Pants: Banana Republic

There was this one time I didn't read the tag inside my red Banana Republic sweater on how to wash it. Then I pulled it out of the washer, I didn't even dry it yet and it looked like it could fit my 16 year old self. I thought to myself, why didn't I look at the tag before I stuck it in the washer? Dry clean only. I hoped I could salvage it so I tried to reshape it and let it air dry. It's a different texture from when I first purchased it, so I was sure I could bring it back to life. Then I put it on... Oh, not so bad. Actually, I kind of like the fit. It's a bit tighter and a little shorter, but i like it better. Well that was a happy coincidence. It's the perfect layering piece under a winter coat, but loose enough to wear a nice collared shirt. With that being said, I wouldn't recommend going and washing your dry clean only pieces. This was a fluke, I swear. This brings me to my point. It's important to check the tag when you clean your professional work attire. If the tag says Dry Clean Only, I would advise following the Mr. Miyagi of clothing and do what it says.
